Silver Bullion Bar by Private Mint

Silver Bullion by Private mint

These are the 1 ounce Silver Bars minted by private mint and they are the 2 most
popular design desired by collectors - The Buffalo and Eagle design.

I have provided some close up pictures. Do take a look at the artistic design of the beautiful Silver Art Bars

Firstly, let's start with the buffalo silver bar design

The buffalo nickel was designed by James Earle Fraser and there were
about 1.2 billion Buffalo Nickels were minted from 1913 to 1938.

The buffalo is considered to be one of the best design ever used on American coinage.

In year 2001, the US Mint reused the design on the 2001 commemorative buffalo silver dollar.
The design was reused again for the American Buffalo gold bullion coin that began in 2006.

Here, the design has been replicated on the Silver bar by private mint and
this has proven to be another popular design desired by collecters

This is a short video clip that I have made of my collection.

What I like about the Silver Bars is that each piece is individually encased in a protective plastic sheet

Then we have next, the Eagle Silver Bullion Bar
It has the design of the eagle similiar to the US half dollar walking liberty

The design of the eagle can be traced back to the Walking liberty which was designed by Adolph Weinman.
The Walking Liberty was first struck in 1916 and was later replaced by Franklin Half Dollar in 1947. Adolph Weinman also designed the Mercury Head dime which was released in the same year 1916.

The Walking Liberty coin depicts Lady Liberty with the reverse features an eagle Walking Liberty Half Dollarperched on a rock.

The half dollar Walking Liberty design was so loved by collectors that it was reused again from 1986 as the American Silver dollar and the series have continued till today. The only changes to the design was the "modern" heraldic eagle with a 13-stripe shield and 13-star cluster honoring the original states

This Eagle Silver Bar seeks to replicate the old design, the nostalgic eagle on the half dollar walking liberty

I have provided a picture of the walking Liberty Half Dollar on the right.

Compare that with the Silver Eagle Bar below on the left and you can see the similarities

If you plan to collect physical silver as part of your investment portfolio, you can consider adding a mixture of those by private mint, government minted coins from around world and also some junk silver.

One reason being that when you want to liquidate some of these physical silver, you can cater to a wider spectrum of customers. There are those who prefers artistic design, some like the government minted coins and there are some who are sentimental and prefers "historical" coins e.g. Morgans, Peace, Franklins etc

Bottom line, enjoy what you are collecting also. And please remember, make sure that you see the inscription .999 fine silver. There are some silver rounds and bars out there that do not have any of the indication that it is solid silver. It might be silver plated.

Another iissue to take note is - preference is always better to go for the smaller size like 1 ounce - 10 ounces that most. Those bigger bars - you might not know what is in there. Just for peace of mind
